Neville Buch (Chairman) BSc, joined the Company when it launched in 1998. He was previously Executive Chairman of Blenheim Group PLC, a leading international exhibition, publishing and conference company which was acquired by United News & Media plc for £593 million in 1996.
Douglas Emslie (Group Managing Director) BAcc (Hons) CA, joined the Company when it launched in 1998 as Finance Director, becoming Group Managing Director in 2000. Prior to joining Tarsus he held senior management positions at Blenheim Group Plc and after its takeover, United Business Media plc. He is Chairman of the Association of Event Organisers and Chairman of the Events Industry Alliance. He is also a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Scotland. Douglas Emslie
Ashley Milton (Group Finance Director) BA, ACA, joined the company in November 2008, having spent nearly 8 years at Aegis Group plc as CFO of Aegis Media and previously as deputy Group Finance Director. Prior to joining Aegis he spent 10 years in the Media and Entertainment division of PriceWaterhouseCoopers. He qualified as an ACA in 1994.
Roger Pellow (Director Labels Group) joined Tarsus in 2001, and heads up the Group's label division which runs nine Labelexpo events across the globe and publishes the market leading magazine, Labels and Labeling. Prior to this, Mr Pellow worked at CMPi (part of United Business Media plc) where he was Sales Director of the UK Division.
Gary Marshall (CEO Asia) joined the Company in March 2010 to lead the Group’s operations in Asia. Gary spent 11 years at United Business Media ('UBM') where for six years he was CEO of their Asian B2B business. He led the business from its small initial base and built it into one of the leading Asian international exhibition organizers through an active organic and acquisition strategy. Based in Hong Kong, the business developed a significant presence in Asia including a leading position in China. Following UBM's $920 million acquisition of CMP Media in 2000 Gary relocated to New York to become President and CEO of CMP Media and Chairman of the Asia operations. He left UBM in 2005 and then joined IDG Inc., the world's leading technology media, events and research company, as Director of International Business Development. At IDG he focused primarily on building their Asian and Middle Eastern businesses.
Robert Ware (Non Executive Director) BA, FCA, was appointed a director of the Company in February 2000. A Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants, he was a director of MEPC Limited ("MEPC") until June 2003. Initially Corporate Development Director, he was appointed Deputy Chief Executive in May 1999. In 2003 Mr Ware left MEPC to set up The Conygar Investment Company PLC, an AIM-listed company of which he is the Chief Executive. He is also a non-executive director of Raven Mount Plc, Gartmore Growth Opportunities Plc, Marwyn Value Investors I Limited and Marwyn Value Investors II Limited and Chairman of Terra Catalyst Fund.
Hugh Scrimgeour (Non Executive Director) BA, FCA, was appointed a director of the Company on 4 March 2004. Between 1993 and 1999 he was Chairman and Managing Director of Earls Court and Olympia, a major London events venue and exhibition organiser. He is Vice Chairman of two exhibition centres in China. He has also been Chief Financial Officer of Princess Cruises and Chief Executive Officer of Expocentric plc, a leading provider of online services to the events industry. Mr Scrimgeour is a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants and brings with him a wealth of industry experience relevant to the business as well as a valuable working knowledge of the Chinese exhibition market.
Paul Keenan (Non Executive Director) FCA, was appointed a director of the Company on 19 December 2008. Since 1994, Paul has been partner and head of Corporate Finance at BDO Simpson Xavier, one of the leading accountancy firms in Ireland. Between 2005 and 2008, Paul served a three year term as Managing Partner of BDO Simpson Xavier. A Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants, Paul also acts as a non-executive director to BES Management Ltd, a joint venture between Davy Stockbrokers (one of the leading stockbrokers in Ireland) and BDO Simpson Xavier which manages expansion funds for Irish businesses.
